Our History

Texarkana Montessori School was founded in 2023 by Jessica McMordie after observing an early-learning gap in the community. She attended a Montessori school during her early education years and so did her children until their move to Texarkana. She values the individualization and emphasis on self-motivation of the Montessori philosophy. Her goal is to bring Montessori education to all children in the Texarkana community.

Our Mission

Texarkana Montessori School aims to serve our community by educating children within a prepared environment that is responsive to the child’s needs by guiding and encouraging development of the whole child – spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, and physical.
